Thalia Assuras is a media strategist and well-known television journalist from Canada. Assuras has been a national correspondent for the Washington, D.C.-based CBS News program The Early Show since January 2002. She serves as a CBS News correspondent for a number of shows and serves as one of the main anchors of the Saturday version of the CBS Evening News.
In addition, she has covered a wide spectrum of international news, including reporting from Iraq, where she covered the US military action after Saddam Hussein was toppled and was one of the first television reporters to report live from Tikrit just hours after his capture.
