Houston Rockets (2011–2013)- Five minutes after his brother Markieff was picked by the Phoenix Suns with the 13th overall choice in the 2011 NBA Draft, Morris was chosen by the Houston Rockets with the 14th overall pick. On January 2, 2012, he was given a team assignment with the NBA Development League’s Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
Phoenix Suns (2013–2015)– Morris and his twin brother were reunited after being traded to the Phoenix Suns on February 21, 2013. A day later, despite not having received any formal instruction from the Suns prior to entering the game, he played his first game with his brother in the final six minutes of a defeat to the Boston Celtics, recording seven points, two steals, and a rebound.
Detroit Pistons (2015–2017)
Morris, Reggie Bullock, and Danny Granger were all dealt to the Detroit Pistons on July 9, 2015, in return for a 2020 second-round selection pick. On October 27, 2015, he played his first game with the Pistons against the Atlanta Hawks. He played 37 minutes as a starter and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds in a 106-94 victory.
Boston Celtics (2017–2019)
Morris was dealt to the Boston Celtics on July 7, 2017, along with Avery Bradley and a 2019 second-round draft selection. He scored 25 points on March 31, 2018, as the Toronto Raptors were defeated 110-99. He had at least 20 points in four straight games, tying a career record.
New York Knicks (2019–2020)– Morris inked a contract with the New York Knicks on July 16, 2019. In a 135-132 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers on January 5, 2020, Morris equaled his career-best for field goals made and scored 38 points, both career highs.
Los Angeles Clippers (2020–present)
On February 6, 2020, the Knicks dealt Maurice Harkless, Jerome Robinson, and Morris to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a three-team transaction with the Washington Wizards. The Clippers also received Isaiah Thomas from the Wizards.
