Cori Bush is an American politician, nurse, pastor and activist. For the last year and a half she has been working as the United States House of Representatives from Missouri 1st congressional district. She came into the national spotlight during the Ferguson protests of 2014, where Che was serving as a triage nurse and a coordinator.
Bush also serves as one of the progressive members of the new group in the lower chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives called “The Squad.” She has been passionate on social justice, affordable healthcare and the environment. In the Democratic primary held in 2024 she was unseated for her seat by Wesley Bell.

Bush has over ten years working experience in the health sector having begun her working as a registered nurse.
