Andrew Sorkin is an American journalist and author born on February 19, 1977. Today he writes for The New York Times as a financial columnist. Ross also anchors for CNBC as a co-anchor for Squawk Box. He is also the founder and editor for DealBook. DealBook is a financial news service published by The New York Times.

Ross has published various books which are best-selling, this includes; Too Big to Fail. The book has been co-produced as a movie adaptation of the book for HBO Films. He is co-creator of the showtime series Billions. He joined The New York Times as a student intern while he was in his final year at high school.

Sorkin was born in New York, he studied at Scarsdale High School in 1995. Later, he joined Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life sciences in Communications. He graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity.

Sorkin was born and raised by his parents in New York City. He is the son of Joan Ross Sorkin(mother)who was a playwright his father is Laurence T. Sorkin. There have been speculations that Sorkin is related to Writer Aaron Sorkin nor defence lawyer Ira Lee Sorkin. They do not relate to him to any of these people.
