Francis Suarez is an American attorney and politician who currently serves as the mayor of the city of Miami, Florida. He was born on October 23, 1977, in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents.

Suarez attended Florida International University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics, and later received his law degree from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. After graduating from law school, he joined the law firm of Akerman LLP as an associate.
