Brendan Fraser is a Canadian-American actor who has starred in blockbusters, comedies, and dramas. He made his cinematic debut in Dogfight after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts in 1990. (1991).
With parts in the Showtime drama The Affair (2016–2017), the FX series Trust (2018), the HBO Max–DC Universe series Doom Patrol, and the History miniseries Texas Rising (2015), he expanded into television (2019–present). Fraser’s involvement in important auteur-directed movies like Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale and Steven Soderbergh’s No Sudden Move (2021) helped him revive his cinematic career (2022).
His lead part in the latter got him nominations for a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Film Award, as well as the Academy Award for Best Actor. He also won the Critics’ Choice Movie Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for the film.
