Carrie Coon was born on January 24, 1981 in Copley, Ohio, to Paula and John Coon. Coon has four siblings: an older sister, an older brother, and two younger brothers.
She graduated from the University of Mount Union with a BA in English and Spanish, and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an MFA in Acting.
Career
Coon started working in small local theaters like the Madison Repertory Theatre, American Players Theatre, and Remy Bumppo Theatre Company. She started performing on Broadway in 2012 in a play called “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. ” and got nominated for a Tony Award and won a Theatre World Award.
She started acting on TV in 2011 on The Playboy Club, and has been in many movies and shows since then.
