In six years, Budden reported on the NCAA and SEC basketball tournaments for both men and women. She also covered the 2012 Summer Olympics and wrote about Pat Summitt’s retirement. At WBIR, Budden won an award from the Tennessee Associated Press Broadcasters for the Best Breaking Sports News. She also came in second place four times in a row for the Best Sports Feature category.
