Oliver started her career in 1993 as a reporter and anchor for KCFW-TV in Kalispell, Montana. She then worked for several other stations, including Northwest Cable News, WTIC-TV, WWJ-TV, and KGPE-TV.
As a freelance reporter for CBS Newspath, she began working for CBS News in 2005. In 2006, she was named anchor of the network’s overnight program, Up to the Minute. She was a correspondent for The Early Show as well.
After leaving CBS in 2009, she was a correspondent for ABC World News Tonight with David Muir and Good Morning America Weekend Edition at ABC News. She returned to CBS News in 2015.
