A skin doctor was being asked questions by Charlesworth on live TV. The doctor noticed a spot on her face that she thought might be a type of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma. After getting a small piece of skin removed for examination, it was confirmed to be basal cell carcinoma. Since 1998, she has worked as a reporter for ABC News and WABC-TV, and also as a news anchor for WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News on weekends.
