Andrea has been working for NBC as its News’ foreign affairs and chief Washington corresoundent, reporting on the 2007 presidential election campaign for NBC News. She newscasts Andrea Mitchell Repotrts which airs as from noon to 1p.m. ET weekdays on MSNBC. She has hosted and broadcasted Meet the Press as a guest. In addition she has been also a frequent guest on Hardball with Chris Matthews and The Rachel Maddow Show. It was in 2019 when she won a Lifetime Achievement Emmy for her career field.

Andrea started her career at university whereby she worked as the news director of the student radio station WXPN. Afterwards she got employed as reporter at KYW. Due to her impressive skills she got a promotion of the station City Hall correspondent while working for KYW-TV. Later she shifted to WTOP currently known as WUSA in 1976, a CBS station in Washington, D.C. Two years later after Andrea had joined NBC network news she became general correspondent.
It was in 1979 where she was mentioned as the NBC News energy correspondent. She was later promoted to White House Correspondent and fulfilled the role from 1981 to 1988. Andrea has hosted Andrea Mitchell reports and also another program on NBC news and commentary channel.
